Now for the personal announcement.

Well, I can now tell all of you why I have been so sick for sooooooo long...I'm pregnant again! I was really sick with my first, and I hoped that this one wouldn't be as bad. But I have been quite sick every single day without fail. It starts as soon as I wake up (or sometimes wakes me up during the night) and ends, well never. LOL. Last time it lasted for 4 months of my pregnancy. I can only hope that it will end a little sooner this time. Keep me in your prayers! Also, we are going to Disney World this week. Any suggestions for me along with specific things to do and ways to deal with a rambunctious toddler while there? Please leave a comment.

I know that I am extremely blessed, and we are very happy that God has entrusted us with another of his children. Hugs!

  1. Congrats on the baby! Not on the morning sickness though. I had 2 kids and never sick (sorry). As far as DW, I say go see Nemo and Lion King if they are playing. Great shows. I never had a toddler go, so good luck on that. We took our 2 1/2 yr old grandson to DL. He had a good time, but DW offers more opportunity of different things with the different parks. We did a Bugs Life with him and it scared him with the 3D, but so did Muppets, but we took the glasses off of him and then he was fine. He loved Buzz Light Year. He still talks about it, 2 years later. If only your hubby is going on rides, he can take advantage of the single rider, where you are watching the kid, so you can't go. My kids did that when we weren't around. We did all of the characters. If you aren't sure about the characters and want t a good Mickey picture, do the other pics first. Then Mickey won't be so scary. Find Mickey and Minnie in their houses 9if they didn't take them out in Toon Town). My daughter's suggestion is to take an umbrella stroller. It is easier to fold up, when need be, like on the train and the buses and easier to get around. However, you don't have the luxury of the kid being able to take a nap by putting the seat down and stowing a lot of stuff. Tip: take snacks and empty water bottles to fill up. It will save you so much money. I don't know what the weather is like there right now, but both times we went in May and Sept, we had down pours. I went to the $$ store and brought ponchos for us. 2/$1, much cheaper and easy to have on hand for that emergency. Of course, you probably already know this but here's some tips on helping your morning sickness, since you don't want it to ruin your vacation : http://www.babyzone.com/pregnancy/symptoms/photos_ten_ways_to_battle_morning_sickness

  3. Congratulations on your impending bundle of joy!! I am a new follower of yours. Disney has so much to look at that even your toddler will probably "catch" the magic! Hopefully he or she will be so enthralled in it all, that the rambunctiousness will be minimal! I remember my girls were WIPED by the end of those long Disney days. The stroller will be your FRIEND! ENJOY your visit! And good luck with the morning sickness! :) ~Jen http://happyplaceforjen.blogspot.com/

  5. Jalisa! Thank you for selecting my fairy card. Your fairy is so cute! I had fun. Not sure digi is for me tho. But you encouraged me to try.

Congrats to you and Brandon on your baby!!! I know you are excited! Does big sister know? Brandon has been doing great with the blog. I am sure you are going to get a lot of stories and advice. So I will simply pray for better days (and nights) and that the sickness will pass. No advice from doctor or ticks that worked last time? Find a few things that you really enjoy eating and keep your cupboard/fridge stocked. I wish I could come help you with the toddler. Do call on friends and neighbors to take her--if even for a little while. We need to live as community.

I am truly sorry. You are in my prayers, Jalisa.

  6. so sorry to hear you are having a rough time. I have no remedies(mine was event free!)As far as Disney, the pb& J sandwiches and plenty of snacks kept my little dude a happy camper! The buffet at Winne the Pooh was great!! Its the only place you can get into without having reservations a yr in advance! we are die hard Disney freaks, go every 4-6 months! we go in the am, go back to the hotel, nap and then go back at night! have fun!

  12. Huge congrats to you all....I got very sick everyday for 5 months...I found having a gingernut biscuit before getting out of bed really helped the nausea. With regards to Disney, I would suggest going to meet the princesses first....if you wait until later the queues are horrendous! Have fun! Wish I was going this year! :) Hugs x

  13. Very exciting news...I was sick with my daughter the whole 9 months so I understand..

My advice at disney...wear them out..I mean it go as long as you can and get them tired than go back to your room for awhile to rest and go back later at night..it kilsl nap time plans BUT it makes things go a little smoother..ALSO HYDRATE!! Final advice if your toddler is without diaper..all automatic potties at disney so if yours is scared bring POST IT notes to cover the sensors on the potty HAVE FUN!
