Monday Menu

I thought I would post this SUPER CUTE picture of my daughter playing peek-a-boo with my husband.

After a busy weekend of taking care of a sick baby and a sick hubby, I'm sad to say I didn't make it into my craft room.  There is always this week, right?!  I am grateful to say that both baby and hubby are feeling much better, which in return makes mom feel better.

I have decided to do something new on my blog that I hope will not only benefit me, but you as well.  It has become a pain trying to figure out what to have for dinner every night.  I used to plan out our meals monthly back in the day, but my attempts to do that since our daughter was born have failed.  So now I'm going to start small by planning our meals weekly.  Every Monday, I'll post our menu for the week along with a few weekly goals I have for myself.

Monday: lasagna, garlic bread, and salad

Tuesday: sloppy joe's, veggie, and fruit
Wednesday: sweet and sour chicken, rice, veggie, and fruit

Thursday: cheeseburgers, fries, and salad

Friday: pizza and salad

Saturday: chicken wraps and chips

Sunday: white beans, corn bread, fried potatoes, and salad

~Goals for the week~

Finish Harry Potter as the Sorcerer's Stone (I read them out of order), clean house, make more cards for client, make Halloween decorations, start walking again......go to bed early enough to accomplish my list!

I'm also looking for new recipes to try, so if you have any suggestions, please leave a comment or you can link up the recipe below.  Thanks a ton and have a happy Monday!

Happy Birthday Card

Happy Thursday!!

Well the weekend is almost here!!  I'm personally looking forward to it!  Saturday evening I get to spend some time with some ladies from church and receive a much needed spiritual boost!  :)  I also get my husband all day on Sunday!  Have I mentioned I love Sundays!  I'm also hoping to get in my craft room for a couple hours.  Right now, it looks like a tornado hit it, but hopefully I can get around the mess to my table...hopefully.  In the meantime, here is a birthday card I made about a week ago.  I'm usually a real simple crafter and don't normally layer colored paper like this, but I thought I would step out of my box and try it.  This is what I came up with.

This is a possible card for a client.  I would LOVE to know what you think!  Thanks!!!

I hope you are having a great week!!  Happy Crafting!!!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!!!
I am now selling my cards!!!  Some of you have been asking if any of my cards are for sell...well now they are.  I haven't priced any of them, so if you are interested in any of the cards I have made, send me an email at patchesofpink@gmail.com with a link to the blog entry of the card you like and I'll email the price to you.  I'm super excited and I hope you are too!!!

Now onto the post...

Well I just finished making a super cute card (my husband says its my cutest one yet).  Once I get a few other projects posted, I'll post it.  So in the mean time here is a card I made a few days ago.  I challenged myself to just use my scraps and I was able to create two pretty cute cards.  I really like the colors in this one.  It reminds me of a sandy beach for some reason.  What do you think?

Have a fabulous day!!  Happy crafting!!

More Vinyl!!

Hello Fellow Crafters!

Here is another vinyl project I did.  I don't remember where I got the vinyl, but it was somewhere online.  There are a ton of places online where you can order creative and great vinyl lettering.  All I did with this one was paint a thin board (1/2 in in thickness) a vanilla color.  Then the hubby attached my vinyl for me.  Simple as that!!  Oh, and I also sprayed a thin coat of lacquer on it giving it a glossy look and making it easier to clean.  I really LOVE vinyl...if you can't tell.  AND......  I have another vinyl project I'm working on that is going in my dining room.  So I'll post that once I finish it.

Have a fabulous evening!  Happy Crafting!!

More Home Decor Ideas

Happy Labor Day Weekend Everyone!!!

I hope everyone is having a great 3 day weekend so far.  Mine hasn't been too bad.  I got a lot of cleaning done yesterday while my little girl napped, but sadly, she is sick (cutting teeth...so fun!!) so its been a little rough at the homestead.  Also, because my husband is in grad school, he doesn't really get much of a break.  :(  He did homework all day on yesterday and he has to do homework all day tomorrow.  However, I got him all day today which has been wonderful!  I love Sundays!

While my hubby is putting our baby to bed, I thought I would post a few more decorating/ home decor ideas we did in our new place.

I would love to see all your home decor ideas.  Add your link below if you would like to share!!!  Have a fabulous weekend!!  Happy crafting!!
