Pink Birdie Card

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday!!  My day was filled with errands, tending to a sick baby, and now (finally) resting and enjoying my evening with my hubby.  I thought that before we started our evening I would post a cute little birdie card I made about a week after we moved to Pennsylvania.  I had finally gotten all my scrap supplies unpacked and I was itching to make something.  So I grabbed my Create a Critter cartridge and went at it.  I only had a few minutes so this is what I came up with.

Have a fabulous evening!  Happy Crafting!!

One More Thing

Well I just noticed that my blog design has been deleted or something.  So Patches of Pink will probably be getting a makeover soon!  I just wanted to let you know so you don't wonder why my blog looks so boring and dull.  Have a great night!!!

Moving Update and Teddy Bear Card

Hello to all my patient and faithful reader!!!!

WOW!!!  I haven't posted in a LONG LONG time.  Moving clear across the country really takes a toll on you.  We are finally getting down to the last two or three boxes, which makes me feel GREAT!!!  Its SO SO nice looking around my new home and not seeing boxes everywhere.  We even hung pictures up last week, which I'll have to post a couple of our picture arrangements because I think they are sweet lookin!  We do feel like we are starting to settle into our new area and I'm slowly learning my way around town.  We believe our daughter is starting to get used to her new home too and is now sleeping a lot better.

We have also been able to get to know a few married couples that we go to church with and they all seem so great!  A lot of the wives that live around us are SAHM's and they get together fairly often, so its going to be good getting out and making new friends.  We have really felt welcomed to the area, which helps to make the transition a lot easier.

So hopefully, now that we are pretty much moved in, I can get back to crafting.  I have been working on a couple home decor items for my new place that I'll be posting soon so be on the look out for them.  But I wanted to post this super cute card I made for my daughters first birthday.  I wasn't going to make her one in the beginning because I didn't think she would care, but then I got to thinking, "Duh Jalisa!  You'll want to scrapbook the cards and pictures after the party!"  So I made her a cute bear card last minute.  Its nothing extravagant, but my daughter liked it so much that she wanted to play with it.  I used my Gypsy and welded two of the bear images together for the Create a Critter cartridge.  What do ya think?!?!

I really wish everyone a happy and fabulous week!!!  Happy crafting!!!

Cupcake Birthday Card

Hello Strangers!

Well we finally made it to Pennsylvania.  We have been here for a total of 5 days and we are SOOOOO tired!  We have been working so hard getting everything unpacked and put together that we haven't had time to rest.  My daughter is finally starting to get back onto her normal sleeping schedule, but has had a hard time getting used to the 2 hour time difference.  I do feel, though, that we are finally starting to get settled and the boxes being broken down little by little everyday.

Today, I was able to find my craft stuff, unpack it, and set it up.  I really like having a "space" for all my supplies, even though I have to share the room with my husband.  But its better than crafting on the kitchen table.  Also, we have been having a hard time getting our internet set up so its really been hit and miss.  Today is the first time I have been able to get internet since we've been here, so sorry for the LONG delay.

My older brother had a birthday in the middle of June and this is the card I made for him.  Its still a little "girlie" but not too much.  Its just a cute, simple card I made using a card set I got at a craft store and the Sweet Treats cricut cartridge.

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week!  Happy crafting!!
