Happy Anniversary and Valentine Ideas

First, I wanted to give a Happy Anniversary shout out to my hubby!  We started dating 3 years ago today!  (I know, I'm a dork but I like celebrating our little anniversaries.)  He is feeling a little better, but he's not 100% yet.  Also, I love him so much (just thought I'd throw that in there).  Yesterday on his day off he helped me rearrange our living room to make it more accessible.  It looks great!!  Also, he took down the UGLY and BROKEN blinds that were hanging in the living room and replaced them with new blinds that we can actually open and close!  Now, we can let in the sun and have some natural light!  I love it!  Thanks honey!

Next, I hope everyone had a GREAT Valentines Day!  We did!  A sweet couple from church offered to watch our baby girl so we could go out on Saturday!  We had recently received a gift card for Red Lobster and since that is one of our favorite restaurants, we decided to go there.  It was wonderful being able to be together and just talk with my hubby!

Finally, I know this is a little late, but I wanted to post a couple Valentines Day crafty ideas I did this year.

These are just some goodie bags I got together for a few ladies in my church.  They were super easy to put together.  The bag is just a regular sandwich baggie with some cute cardstock folded over it and stapled.  Then I just decorated it with a Valentines theme and that's it.  (The purple dog is my daughters favorite toy.  Its a Leap Frog talking and singing dog.  I thought it was a perfect holder for a picture!)

This is a coupon book I made for my hubby for Valentines Day.  All I did was I cut out the cardstock design with my Cricut and then made the actual coupon wording in Word on the computer and printed it out.  I then wrote on the coupons whatever I wanted to give my hubby (a massage, favorite dinner, etc.  Just get creative!)  I then glued everything together, decorated the front, and attached them with ribbon in the corner.  The pink hearts you see on the second picture signifies how many times he can use it and when he uses one, I'll either color in the heart or make a smilie face on it or something.  Make sure you put expiration dates on them though.  :)

I hope you are enjoying my new blog!  Have a fabulous day!  Happy crafting!!

  1. I love doing coupon books! I used to do them for my parents all the time and I actually don't think I have ever done one for Craig yet! I totally need to do that for Father's day. Thanks for the reminder. :)

  2. I love your little sandwich bag idea. It's so simple, but way cute! Thanks for the fun ideas. I love looking at your craft blog!
